One of the most important examples of swimming pool architecture was created by Alfred Hajos, a renowned figure in Hungary. Hajos was an Olympic champion in 1896 and designed several swimming pools and stadiums. He completed his studies as an architect three years after his Olympic victories, and went on to work for Ignac Alpar before opening his own studio with Janos Villanyi in 1904.
